Overview
Ground oatmeal is the only texture here, worked into a base of shea butter and plant oils for a little gentle roughness, nothing scrubby. The scent stays low: sweet milk and warm honey, nothing sharp or perfumey. Milk and honey is the fragrance; there's no milk or honey in the bar.
Lather comes up creamy with warm water and rinses without leaving skin tight, and now and then you'll catch a tiny oat fleck in it. It's built for the everyday wash, the one you reach for without thinking about it.
As a gift it reads soft and kind rather than showy: for a new mom in the first weeks home, a baby shower or Mother's Day. Beside our Vanilla Amber candle it makes a small set for someone who's been looking after everyone else.
How to use
Wet the bar and work into a creamy lather with warm, not hot, water. The ground oatmeal gives a little soft texture as you massage over skin, no scrubbing needed, then rinse. Good for daily use.

The milk-and-honey scent is the fragrance: there's no milk and no honey in the bar. Lye is how every true soap is made: it reacts with the oils while the soap is made, and none is left in the finished bar.

Is this actually a good soap for sensitive skin?
We don't make a specific skin-type claim on it. What it is: the plainest, gentlest bar in the lineup, ground oatmeal for a little soft texture on a base of shea butter, coconut oil, and olive oil, with a low milk-and-honey scent and no scrub. Patch-test any new bar first if your skin is reactive.
Will it feel drying, like a regular bar soap?
No. Cold-process bars keep the glycerin that soap-making produces, and glycerin draws in moisture, so skin feels soft instead of tight after a wash. It is a cold-process bar on shea butter, coconut and olive pomace oils, and it lathers creamy. Warm water, not hot, keeps it that way.
Is the scent noticeable, or is this basically unscented?
Not unscented, but close: a soft, low milk-and-honey warmth, nothing sharp or perfumey. It's the plainest bar we make on purpose, for the days you want the least going on.
