A slow bath, petals and all

Restorative Rose Bath Bomb

Real dried rose buds and petals scatter loose as this one fizzes out, not just a rose scent floating on top.

The water turns faintly pink underneath them. It's built for the bath you don't rush, alone, or with someone.

Scent — Fresh rose, buds and petals. Floral, not powdery.

Why this one

This is a 4 oz fizzing bath bomb built on coconut oil steeped in-house with arnica, calendula, comfrey, and St

  • John's wort
  • Baking soda, citric acid, cream of tartar, and Epsom salt handle the fizz and the mineral feel of the water
  • Pink kaolin clay tints it, dried rose buds and petals float loose in it, and rose essential oil is the only scent: real flower, not perfume
  • Store it dry; the reaction starts the moment any moisture reaches it.
Overview

The petals do most of the work: real dried rose buds that break loose and drift across the water the moment this one starts to fizz, not a garnish scattered on top after the fact. Pink kaolin clay tints the water underneath them, soft rather than bright. Rose carries through all of it, closer to a cut stem than a bottle of rose water. Anniversary, a birthday, or just a Tuesday that needs to feel like an occasion. This is the bath that makes it one.

How to use

Run the bath, drop the bomb in, and let it dissolve on its own. The petals float free within a minute or two. Step in once it's gone quiet and soak for fifteen to twenty minutes. One bomb is plenty for a full tub. When you're done, gather the petals at the drain before you let the water out.

What’s in it

What’s in the fizz.

A bath bomb is baking soda and citric acid that react in water — the fizz is just the two meeting. What matters is what rides along with it into the water.

Artisan-crafted Monsuri Restorative Rose Bath Bomb showcasing natural ingredients.
  • Rose

    the scent

The fresh, green-floral note the bath opens on, the flower itself, not a perfume of it.

  • Real Rose Buds & Petals

    the botanicals

Whole dried buds and petals that float free in the water: the part you can see, not only smell.

  • Pink Kaolin Clay & Coconut Oil

    the softener

A faint pink tint and a soft-water feel, so skin doesn’t feel tight after.

Straight answer

Won’t the petals clog the drain or stain the tub?

The petals are the point; they float free as the bomb dissolves. They won’t stain: the pink is kaolin clay, well diluted, and it rinses clean. For the drain, gather the petals with your hand before you empty the tub, or lay a drain screen over it. Thirty seconds of cleanup for a bath with real roses in it.

The ritual

How to use it

  1. Drop and let it go

Run a warm bath, drop the bomb in, and let it fizz out. The petals float free as it dissolves.

  2. A bath you don’t rush

Once it’s dissolved, step in and soak for fifteen to twenty minutes, a slow one, on your own or with someone.

  3. Catch the petals

Gather the petals at the drain before you empty the tub. Easier than fishing them out after.

Questions

Everything you might wonder.

What makes this a "restorative" bath bomb rather than just a rose-scented one?

Real dried rose buds and petals float free as it dissolves, and the coconut oil carries arnica, calendula, comfrey, and St. John's wort into the water. It's built to be a slow bath, the kind you don't rush through, not a five-minute rinse with a nice smell over it.

Will the rose petals clog the drain?

No. It's a small amount of dried botanical, not enough to bother a normal drain. Gather the petals at the drain before you empty the tub if you'd rather not think about it at all.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

It's a botanical and essential-oil blend, not synthetic fragrance. Patch-test first if you're reactive to rose or any of the infused herbs. Check with your provider if you're pregnant or nursing.

Who's this bath bomb for?

Anyone who wants a bath they don't rush, whether alone or with someone. It's built to be the bath you keep promising yourself, and then don't get to.
