This one is eight: rose and peppercorn on top, sandalwood and clove in the heart, oud, myrrh, labdanum and musk at the base, so the rose is carried by woods and resins instead of shouting on its own. Poured in coconut and soy wax and set in amber glass, it burns about 45 hours, and the scent changes as it goes: fresh and soft when first lit, deeper and woodier once the room has warmed. The throw stays close to the space you light it in rather than announcing itself down the hall.

How to use
Trim the cotton wick to a quarter inch before each light. On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edge so it pools evenly every time after. The blend opens up best over sessions of up to 3 hours, where the rose, sandalwood and spice have time to develop. Keep the flame away from drafts, and stop burning at about half an inch of wax left. Rose fragrance is delicate, so replace the brass lid after each burn and store it away from heat. Always burn it within sight, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
