The two minutes before you sit
Frankincense and myrrh over sandalwood, a cistus blend between them and ylang ylang on top, pre-diluted in golden jojoba: the resin roller, the one that smells like the inside of an old church without anyone lighting anything.
Two passes on the wrists before you sit down to breathe, journal or just stop, and the scent sits low and close at the wrist. For the person with a practice, and for the one who keeps meaning to start.
Scent — Frankincense and myrrh over sandalwood, with cistus and a little ylang ylang on top. Resinous, dry, quiet.

Five oils in golden jojoba, and three of them are resins or woods: Ethiopian frankincense, Somali myrrh and New Caledonian sandalwood. A cistus blend sits between them, amber-like and dry; Madagascar ylang ylang on top keeps the opening from being austere.
Resins are heavy oils, deeper and quieter than citrus. It goes on dry, not greasy, and the scent sits with you rather than the room.
It is the roller inside our Mindfulness Ritual Kit, beside the Palo Santo candle and the frankincense mist. As a gift it suits the yoga friend, the person who meditates on an app, and anyone who wants a cue for the start of a quiet ten minutes. It ships in the eight-roller set too, as the Meditation blend.
Roll it over the pulse points: inner wrists, temples, the back of the neck. Two or three passes is the whole thing. Then bring your wrists up and breathe in slowly, three or four times. It is pre-diluted in golden jojoba, so it goes straight on skin with nothing to add, and you can roll again later in the day. Cap it between uses and keep it out of direct sun.
Golden jojoba oil, ylang ylang (Madagascar), cistus blend, frankincense (Ethiopia), myrrh (Somalia), sandalwood (New Caledonia) essential oils.
The oils are already diluted in the jojoba, which is why the roller goes straight on skin. Patch-test a new blend on a small area first, and check with your provider before using it if you are pregnant or nursing.
Picked & packed by hand from our North Salt Lake warehouse, usually the same business day — arriving in 2–5 business days (no express). Not quite right when it lands? Free returns within 30 days.
What’s in it
Frankincense, myrrh and sandalwood are the slow oils: deep, dry and quiet. Cistus adds a dry, amber-like thread and ylang ylang opens it. All five are pre-diluted in golden jojoba, so there is nothing to mix.

What the oils ride in. It absorbs close to skin, so the roller goes on dry rather than greasy.
Ethiopian frankincense and Somali myrrh: dry, smoky-sweet, the oldest incense notes there are.
New Caledonian sandalwood and a cistus blend give it the quiet floor; Madagascar ylang ylang keeps the opening soft.
Straight answer
Frankincense, myrrh and sandalwood give this roller its deep, resinous scent, worn close at the pulse points; what you notice is less a burst than a low, dry note at the wrist. It is still a roller, so it lives at the pulse points and not in the air. If you want the room itself to smell of it, the frankincense mist and the Palo Santo candle do that part.

The ritual
Inner wrists, temples, the back of the neck: two or three passes where the skin is thin. It is pre-diluted, so it goes straight on.
The two minutes before a sitting, a stretch, a page in the journal, or the end of the day. Bring your wrists up and breathe in slowly.
Keep it on the cushion, the mat or the nightstand so the roll becomes the start of the thing. Cap it between uses and keep it out of direct sun.

Questions
Dry and resinous. Frankincense and myrrh lead, smoky-sweet, with sandalwood and a cistus blend underneath and a little ylang ylang on top. It is the quietest of the eight blends.
Yes, Ethiopian frankincense is the lead, with Somali myrrh, New Caledonian sandalwood, ylang ylang and a cistus blend beside it, all in golden jojoba. It is a scent blend for the pulse points, not a treatment.
Inner wrists, temples or the back of the neck, two or three passes. Then bring your wrists up and breathe in slowly a few times. It is pre-diluted in golden jojoba, so there is nothing to mix.
Same resin family, two jobs. The roller is for you: a few passes at the pulse points, scent close to the skin. The mist is for the room, the cushion or the pillow. Our Mindfulness Ritual Kit carries both.
The oils are pre-diluted in jojoba, which is gentler than a neat essential oil, but patch-test a small area first if you are reactive, and check with your provider if you are pregnant or nursing.
For anyone with a practice, or trying to build one: the yoga friend, the person who meditates on an app, a new-home gift for someone who wants a quiet corner. It fits in a card, and beside our Palo Santo candle it makes a small set. You can add a gift note to the order, and the packing slip shows no prices.
