Why this one
  • A fine-mist spray, 3.3 oz
  • A steam-distilled citrus hydrosol carried in water, no carrier oil, with Italian bergamot, Brazilian sweet orange, peppermint, and eucalyptus underneath
  • Shake before each use; keep it out of direct sun and use within the year for the truest scent.
Overview

A steam-distilled citrus water: bergamot, sweet orange, and peppermint carried in water, not oil, so it goes on light and needs no dilution. Mist it over your face first thing, or through the room to start the day.

It's the first thing, before anything else. Light enough for bare skin, never a heavy oil. Bright citrus on the air: orange and bergamot, never candy-sweet.

How to use

Hold it six to eight inches away and mist. Over the face: two or three sprays on clean skin in the morning, and again if the afternoon drags. Over the room: a few above head height. Good over the shoulders before a commute, too. Let it settle or pat it in with clean hands. Shake before each use.

Delivery & returns

Picked & packed by hand from our North Salt Lake warehouse, usually the same business day — arriving in 2–5 business days (no express). Not quite right when it lands? Free returns within 30 days.

What’s in it

The peel, in water.

A hydrosol is the water that comes off a steam distillation: the water-soluble part of the plant plus a fine mist of the oil, so it goes on light and needs no carrier.

Three-panel scent-notes card for the Monsuri ENERGY citrus hydrosol: the energy aroma, bright citrus, botanical warmth, fresh finish.
  • Italian Bergamot

    the lead

The bright citrus top the mist opens on. Sharp and clean, the note you catch first.

  • Brazilian Sweet Orange

    the warmth

What rounds the bergamot out: a fuller, sweeter orange underneath, so it isn’t all sharpness.

  • Peppermint & Eucalyptus

    the lift

A cool, green thread at the finish that keeps the citrus from turning candy-sweet.

Straight answer

Isn’t a hydrosol just scented water?

Fair question. It’s the water that comes off steam-distilling the botanicals, so it carries the water-soluble plant compounds plus a fine mist of the oil, not fragrance stirred into tap water. That’s why it goes on light, needs no carrier oil, and smells like the fruit rather than a perfume of it. Lighter than an essential oil, and meant to be.

The ritual

How to use it

  1. Mist, don’t drench

Hold it six to eight inches away. Two or three sprays is the whole thing.

  2. First thing

Over the face on clean skin in the morning, and again if the afternoon drags.

  3. Set the day, and your makeup

A light mist over finished makeup helps it settle. Eyes closed, one pass.

Questions

Everything you might wonder.

Is the "energy" in the name a real effect, or just the scent?

It's the second one, and we'd rather say so plainly. Bergamot and sweet orange read as a wake-up cue the way coffee smell does before you've had a sip; it's not a caffeine substitute, just a bright scent to open the morning.

Can I mist it over finished makeup?

Yes, a light pass sets your makeup rather than smearing it, since there's no carrier oil in the formula. Eyes closed, one pass, then let it dry down. The scent stayed in the room afterward, longer than a two-second spritz would suggest.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

It's essential oils in water, no synthetic fragrance. Citrus oils can be reactive for some skin types, so patch test first, and check with your provider before using it if you're pregnant or nursing.

How long does the citrus hydrosol last?

The bottle is 3.3 oz, keeps for a year out of direct sun, and needs a shake before each use since it's a natural blend. Two or three sprays in the morning, maybe a second round if the afternoon drags, and it lasts a long while.

Is the citrus mist safe to use around pets and kids?

For misting the room or the air, it's fine in a family home; it's botanicals in water with nothing synthetic added. Keep the spray away from pet faces and bird cages, since birds are especially sensitive to anything airborne, and don't mist it straight onto a child's or pet's skin. As a light room or face mist for the adults in the house, it stays gentle.
